New types of interoperations made easy
Smart Contracts, within legal contexts, make is easy to:
- Interoperate in a decentralized manner.
- Have unparalleled transparency.
- Increase cyber-security.
- Define ownership of information.
- Automate payments, including micro-payments.
- Monetize information and resources.
- Create digital assets.
Open yet secure, with full transparency
Smart Contracts as the basis for interoperation is especially suitable in these contexts:
- Microfinance-applications requiring automation of payments and contracts, valid within legal contexts.
- Open Data applications in smart societies, requiring distributed processing of private or sensitive information.
- Industry 4.0-type applications where parties independently negotiate agreements to optimize processes.
- Monetization of physical devices (IoT), based on terms of usage, allowing sharing of resources for commercialization, sustainability, or reuse.
- Tokenization of physical or digital assets, where funds are programmatically controlled to rules in contracts.
- Crowdfunding of projects, where proper identification of parties are required, and transparent control of investments is necessary.

Leveraging Swedish Technology (TAG)
ABC4.IO leverages technology from the Swedish technology company Trust Anchor Group (TAG). TAG provides:
- The Neuro-Ledger®, a next-generation distributed ledger technology (DLT) that solves scalability, confidentiality, and privacy problems inherent in traditional block chains.
- The Neuron®, the core distributed infrastructure component (node) that makes secure, distributed processing based on smart contracts possible.
- Neuro-Features™ tokens, based on Neurons® and Neuro-Ledger® capabilities.
- Neuro-Pay™ payment service integrations, for integration with Fiat payment systems.
- Neuro-Exchange™ online trade platform, facilitating trade with digital token-based assets.
- Neuro-Access™ digital identity, a smartphone app for Android and iOS which human users can use to sign smart contracts.
- eDaler®, an electronic payment infrastructure, supporting automation, micro-payments and offline payments.
- Agent API, a RESTful API for automation with the Neuron® and its infrastructure using HTTP.
- XMPP APIs, for automation using XMPP, which allows bidirectional flows of information.
API-based Contracts for InterOperation (ABC4.IO)
ABC4.IO is a distributed service that runs on TAG Neurons® and provides a new way to create open and secure APIs using smart contracts, using the ABC4.IO XML namespace. This allows:
- Complete transparency of communication infrastructure.
- Simple versioning and sunsetting of APIs for different purposes.
- Processing information in private and sensitive data sets between signatories in accordance with rules based on consent (that can be revoked) or contract (limited in time).
- Creation of decentralized APIs from a single definition, especially where different machines in different domains need to perform different tasks.
- Support for multiple types of protocols, including HTTP, XMPP, MQTT, SMTP, CoAP, LWM2M, etc.
- Seamless integration using multiple types of communication patterns, including asynchronous messaging, request/response, publish/subscribe, multicasting, event subscription, etc.
